Kindred’s 1st Skill Matrix programme

As a team leader, it's vital to possess a comprehensive understanding of your team members' competencies and skillsets. A team skill matrix can be a valuable tool in this regard, as it can identify each team member's strengths and areas for improvement. This information can then be utilised to plan training, delegate tasks, and identify potential candidates for promotions or job rotations. Employing a team skill matrix guarantees that your team works efficiently and effectively towards achieving the organisation's goals.

APPROACH

Insights from an Initial Workshop

In the initial workshop, we focused on brainstorming and devising ideas for anticipating and making the Skill Matrix effective. Our approach was to address the session's what, how, and why. We discussed the Skill Matrix and why it's essential to have an effective one in place. We also delved into how to create and implement the Skill Matrix, exploring various strategies and techniques. By the end of the workshop, we had a clear understanding of the objectives and a solid plan for moving forward.

Empowering UX excellence through skill mastery.

01

Assess skills

Designed a user-friendly form to collect relevant data from employees, improving the user experience and accuracy of data collection, which impacted the quality of training.

02

Create a plan

After conducting interviews, I identified areas where employee skills were lacking. I made a training plan tailored to the employee's specific needs, which proved very effective in improving their performance. The program was comprehensive and personalized, resulting in significant progress.

03

Implement and monitor

Implementing the training plan included interactive modules, progress monitoring, and increased training completion rates, which resulted in improved employee skill development.

04

Review and recognize improvement

Feedback forms, surveys, and gamification techniques were used to continuously review and enhance training effectiveness, encourage skill improvement and engagement, and recognize employee development. These efforts positively impacted employee retention and job satisfaction.
